International festival of Chinese Gastronomy
For the first time in history, the town of Dalian (North China) – a region renowned for the quality and range of its dishes – organised a competition for the top Chinese chefs around the world.

The grand jury awarded M.Chin Ming Chen, owner of the Lys d'Or, two gold medals for his culinary expertise.
For the occasion the Lys d'Or produced a new menu composed of 12 very original and healthy dishes which simply won over the jury.

In 1994, the restaurant was elected the "Baguette d'Or".

The Lys d'Or was also awarded the gold cup in 1999 by the Gastronomie Chinoise du Comité du Bon Goût de France.
